Jasmine becomes a world traveler

It's been one week since I left the states. I am stressed, exhausted, and annoyed. At the same time, I am in awe of the country that I will reside in for the next four months. Already, my strenghth and patience has been pushed to the limits. I have never felt so tired in all my life. The first week has pretty much gone like this...

Ready! First of the week of traveling!!

  • I leave for London 3:30 a.m Western time and arrive in London at 6:45 a.m the next day
  • Meet at the London Center and then hurry to the tube to catch the train to Scotland.
  • 4 hours on the train to Endinburgh.
  • For the next 3 days, I watch shows ( some horrible and some great), walk all over the city, hike up a hill that might as well be called a mountain. Go to pubs and feel the excitement of being of "age" to drink. Strongbow is my new love. Get completly sauced at the Shakespeare pub and explain to my friends that my name is sex itself. The rest is a blur from there.
  • Come back to London. Check in the hotel and start looking for a flat.
A couple of words on the flat hunt...
It sucks.
However, we found one rather quickly. It's a charming place I think and the rent is resonable, so I won't starve. It's close to the London Center, therefore I do not have to pay for travel.

On friends..
New relantionships are forming and some...well, I guess some have reached their end or at a stalemate, or just down right awkawrd. I love my flatmates and I regret nothing about changing the original package.

I wanted this to be a really detailed blog, but I think I'll just post highlights, pictures, and random thoughts. All the nitty gritty details will be for my private journal. Heehee. Sorry. Alright! More to come!
